Use of Walking Aids

In this video, I explain and demonstrate how to use elbow crutches. I show the patient how to walk forwards, backward, up and down a step, sitting down and standing up, and turning around with the use of the crutches.
I think I did well in the explanation and demonstration for the patient and I continued to use pointers throughout our walk-through with the aid. I stood close to the patient the entire time checking in on them as this can be a hard and scary situation for some patients.
I did make a mistake when I walked away from the patient to move the step when they could have just gone around it.
